Condolences

Condolence From: Mauve
Condolence: I am truly sorry for you and for your family and I understand it is hard to find comfort in this most difficult time. I heard from a friend about Douglas, and he has such wonderful memories of him. Every time he would talk about him, it would bring a huge grin on his face. He explained him as a good guy with a huge personality and I felt compelled to write you with this hope that soon Jesus Christ will abolish death forever (1 Corinthians 15:26) and all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out to a resurrection of life (John 5;28, 29). I just wanted to offer you hope when comfort can be hard to find, so I leave you with Psalm 34:18 where it says that God is close to the brokenhearted and He helps those who are crushed in spirit.

Condolence: Im so sorry your families loss. Doug and I were close friends threw high school and several years after. After he moved to ca.to take the chp test, we kinda lost contact. my mom & dad thought he hung the moon. he always had his crap together ,he knew what he wanted always. He was good at everything . Good guy to have on your side in fights . he always needed to go fast , he had a 1970 Roadrunner a Blue SS Nova and when I visited him in Ogden UT. he was driving a Vette. LLots of good times with him . wish I would have stayed in touch with him.I have several newspaper clips from high school when the Minn. Twins were at him to draft him. your more than welcome to have them. Again I am sorry for your loss.God bless you all. Yours truly,Cal Kamppi IM on face book.

Condolence From: ROBERT KOETTING
Condolence: I am sorry I will not be able to attend Doug's funeral. Down in LA stuck on some case work. I worked with Doug at CHP from the time he reported at the Altadena office until my retirement in 2011. Doug was one of the most positive, upbeat, do-anything guys I have ever known. Almost every time I would first see Doug he would have that big goofy grin and be ready with a funny story. He loved his family, his friends, his co-workers and the CHP, and we all loved him back. Taken too soon. I guess what we should take away is that we all need to try to be more like Doug, and appreciate the time we do have. RIP man, you are missed. Bob Koetting
